Her own daughter, Anna and her Sister Thresia, were the co-foundresses, who shared her charism. Mother Eliswa received also the members of Syro-Malabar rite and the congregation developed as a congregation for both rites. After 24 years, the TOCD for women was divided according to rites and two congregations were formed. The Latin branch is the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites (CTC) and the Syrian branch was the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC). The CTC has now 190 convents in 9 provinces and two regions. The sisters dedicate themselves in the apostolate of prayer, Christian education, running orphanages and old age homes, missionary activities, hospital ministry, women empowerment programmes, family apostolate social work and jail ministry. Mother Eliswa was declared Servant of God on 30th May 2008.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row u_row_style=”0″ u_row_paralax=”0″ u_row_scheme=”0″ css=”.vc_custom_1570790302243{background-color: #efdcbf !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/4″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row u_row_style=”0″ u_row_paralax=”0″ u_row_scheme=”0″ css=”.vc_custom_1570790527985{background-color: #cc3a03 !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”THE FOUNDRESS OF TOCD (CTC & CMC)” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:center|color:%23320001″ google_fonts=”font_family:PT%20Serif%3Aregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic|font_style:700%20bold%20regular%3A700%3Anormal” css=”.vc_custom_1573207493440{margin-right: 50px !important;margin-left: 50px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;background-color: #efdcbf !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”65″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][vc_column_text]

Servant of God Mother Eliswa

Oh!
