St. Joseph’s Vidyabhavan at Edappally Toll is the Generalate of the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites (CTC). His Grace Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kelanthara, Archbishop of Verapoly blessed the Generalate on 29.11.1977. This was the auspicious moment of shifting the Generalate of the Congregation from Regina Caeli Convent at Kalamassery to this new House. Rev. Mother Georgia was the Superior General at the time of the establishment of this new House. Followed by Mother Georgia, Mother Pauline, Mother Marina, Mother Albina, Mother Daphne and Mother Liza and Mother Soosamma were Superior Generals of the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites. The present Superior General of CTC is, Rev. Mother Shahila CTC.
